ADMin4ALL - Integration in Communities, Phase 1

Supporting active inclusion of disadvantaged migrants in Europe
through development and testing of local centres for social and economic integration


Project outline

The main objective of this international project was to increase the capabilities of 2-3 communities and local administrations of the participating countries (Italy, Poland, Romania and Austria) in dealing with migrants. This was achieved with 3-day trainings during which the following subjects were addressed:

  • General Information on migration and the needs of migrants focusing on the time after their arrival
  • Identifying the needs of migrants and good practices in fostering labor market integration
  • Intercultural competences
  • Fostering active citizenship regarding the integration process

To achieve these objectives, the following activities were carried out:

  • Survey of the current situation and related needs
  • Based on this, tailor-made three-day trainings were conducted on topic like country of origin information, intercultural competences, conflict management, dealing with prejudices etc.
  • The networking within and between the partner communities was encouraged

Austrian partner communities were Bruck an der Leitha, Korneuburg and Tulln.
