Edith Vasilyev
Head, Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration Unit
Edith Vasilyev is responsible for the supervision of the unit's various projects and employees and develops project proposals in the area of Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration. She studied Russian and Spanish at the Universities of Vienna and St. Petersburg. Prior to her assignment with IOM, she was employed at the Austrian Integration Fund, first as a social worker, later as a research assistant.

Sebastian Bielowski
Project Coordinator
Sebastian Bielowski is responsible for assisting the voluntary return and reintegration of returnees to Afghanistan and Iran. He studied Law and International Relations at the University of Innsbruck and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. Prior to his assignment with IOM, he worked as legal adviser for asylum seekers in Lower Austria, Vienna and Burgenland.

Andrea Götzelmann-Rosado
Focal Point for Knowledge Management
Andrea Götzelmann-Rosado is responsible for Knowledge Management in the area of
Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR). Prior to that, she was heading the AVRR Unit for eight years. Andrea Götzelmann-Rosado studied Political Science and English at the Universities of Vienna and Edinburgh. Prior to her assignment with IOM, she worked in Public Relations for several years.

Jessica Herz
Project Coordinator
Jessica Herz is responsible for assisting the voluntary return and reintegration of returnees to Afghanistan and Iran. She studied Political Science and Translation Studies at the University of Innsbruck, Vienna and Geneva. Prior to her assignment with IOM, she held positions in NGOs, on the governmental level as well as in academia, most recently as project supervisor at Verein menschen.leben.

Julia Hurnaus
Project Coordinator
Julia Hurnaus is responsible for assisting the voluntary return and reintegration of returnees to Afghanistan. She studied Development Studies with a focus on migration in Vienna and Quito. Prior to her assignment with IOM, she worked for GIZ on migration and development, in particular diaspora cooperation and returning experts.

Sabine Lang-Rosenfeld
Project Assistant

Sabine Lang-Rosenfeld is responsible for assisting the voluntary return and reintegration of returnees to Afghanistan and Iran. Prior to her assignment with IOM, she worked as Project Assistant for the company Hewlett-Packard on projects in Central Asia and South Eastern Europe. Sabine Lang-Rosenfeld studied Economics with a focus on Regional Studies of Eastern Europe and Russian at the Eberhard-Karls University in Tübingen (Germany).

Evelyn Rainer
Project Coordinator
Evelyn Rainer is responsible for assisting the voluntary return and reintegration of returnees to Iran. She studied Cultural and Social Anthropology as well as Russian at the Universities of Vienna and of Vladivostok. Prior to her assignment with IOM, Evelyn Rainer was employed at the Information Centre for Central Asia and the Southern Caucasus as well as at the Institute of Iranian Studies of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
