Deputy Focal Point for Counter-trafficking
Ionela Timofte is the deputy head of unit. She coordinates projects and conducts trainings in the areas of integration, vulnerable groups, child protection and intercultural work. Ionela Timofte studied English and Spanish as well as cultural studies in Bucharest and Vienna.

Maria-Alexandra Bassermann
Project Assistant

Gender Focal Point
Maria-Alexandra Bassermann is project assistant in the Integration Unit. Before that, she worked as a research associate in the research and migration law unit of IOM Austria. She studied Migration and Intercultural Relation with the Erasmus Mundus Master Program EMMIR, amongst others in Germany and Uganda, as well as Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Vienna.

Ondine Delavelle
Project coordinator

Migrant Children Focal Point
Ondine Delavelle is project coordinator and trainer in the area of integration, with a focus on migrant children, topic for which she is serving as focal point. Prior to joining the Integration Department, she worked in the field of Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration, first at Caritas Vienna and last at IOM Austria. She studied Political Sciences in France, with focus on international relations and international organizations.

Bernadette Hofer
Project Assistant

Bernadette Hofer is project assistant in the Integration Unit. She studied Italian, Cultural- and Social Anthropology and Communication in Vienna, Italy and Brazil. Therein, she particularly focused on the topics of migration, cultural theories and gender awareness.

Katharina Benedetter
Head, Integration Unit

Focal Point for Migration and Development
Katharina Benedetter acts as supervisor for the Integration Unit's projects and staff  and develops project proposals in the area of integration. In addition to implementing integration projects, she also acts as Focal Point for Migration and Development. Katharina Benedetter studied International Development at the University of Vienna and the University of Dar es Salaam (United Republic of Tanzania), where she focused on migration and development as well as on East Africa.
