IOM Country Office for Austria

IOM has a global network of Country Offices and sub-offices which implement a wide range of projects addressing specific migration needs.

The main responsibility of the IOM Country Office for Austria is to analyse national migration issues and emerging trends to develop and implement projects and programmes to address these. The Country Office for Austria includes five units: the Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration Unit; the Integration Unit; the Research Unit; the Operations Unit and the Resource Management Unit.

The Country Office for Austria is being led by Marian Benbow Pfisterer, who is thus responsible for the manifold office activities. She has been with IOM since 2005, most recently as Head of Project Management/Liaison in Nuremberg, where she oversaw all projects implemented by IOM at the sub-office in Nuremberg, and was also responsible for project development as well as liaison and fundraising.
