Edith Vasilyev
Head, Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration Unit
Focal Point for Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration
Edith Vasilyev is responsible for the supervision of the unit's various projects and employees and develops project proposals in the area of assisted voluntary return and reintegration. She studied Russian and Spanish at the University of Vienna and in St. Petersburg. Prior to her assignment with IOM, she was employed at the Austrian Integration Fund, first as a social worker, later as a research assistant.

Evelyn Rainer
Deputy Head, Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration Unit
Focal Point for Migration Health
Evelyn Rainer is responsible for the content and implementation of quality assurance measures in the area of return. She studied Cultural and Social Anthropology as well as Russian at the University of Vienna and in Vladivostok. Prior to her assignment with IOM, Evelyn Rainer was employed at the Information Centre for Central Asia and the Southern Caucasus as well as at the Institute of Iranian Studies of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

Julia Hurnaus
Project Coordinator
Julia Hurnaus is responsible for the content and implementation of quality assurance measures in the area of return. She studied Development Studies with a focus on migration in Vienna and Quito. Prior to her assignment with IOM, she worked for GIZ on migration and development, in particular diaspora cooperation and returning experts.

Sabine Lang-Rosenfeld
Project Assistant
Sabine Lang-Rosenfeld is responsible for assisting the voluntary return and reintegration of returnees to various countries. Prior to her assignment with IOM, she worked as Project Assistant for a multinational company on projects in Central Asia and South Eastern Europe. Sabine Lang-Rosenfeld studied Economics with a focus on Regional Studies of Eastern Europe and Russian at the Eberhard-Karls University in Tübingen (Germany).

Lisa Lenz-Ayoub
Project Coordinator
Lisa Lenz-Ayoub is responsible for the content and implementation of quality assurance measures in the area of return. She studied Cultural and Social Anthropology in Vienna and Beirut. Prior to her assignment with IOM, Lisa Lenz-Ayoub was a research associate at the Institute for Social Anthropology at the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

Marlit Schardt
Project Coordinator
Marlit Schardt is responsible for assisting the voluntary return and reintegration of returnees to various countries as well as for outreach and communication activities. She studied Psychology in Berlin, Istanbul and Vienna. Prior to her assignment with IOM, Marlit Schardt held positions at the International Office of Humboldt University of Berlin and as a social worker at Verein LEFÖ-IBF.

Project Coordinator
Jessica Herz is responsible for assisting the voluntary return and reintegration of returnees to various countries. She studied Political Science and Translation in Innsbruck, Vienna and Geneva. Prior to her assignment with IOM, she held positions in NGOs, on the governmental level as well as in academia, most recently as project supervisor at Verein menschen.leben.
