Forecasting the Future of Global Migration
Migration predictions are an indispensable part of any attempt to proactively prepare for future opportunities and challenges of migration. However, predicting migration trends is an inherently difficult task. Together with prominent academics, policymakers and practitioners, the annual National EMN Conference 2020 focused on the opportunities and limitations of migration forecasting and scenarios regarding future developments of global migration. Among other things, we shed a light on the question of how forecasting results can be responsibly merged with pro-active migration policies.
